Like much of Indonesia, Jakarta experiences warm conditions all year round (averaging around 30 degrees) and has two seasons, the dry season and the wet season. During the wet season of October to March the showers each day may not always last for long, but the area often experiences severe flooding.

The dry season from April to September is generally considered the best time to visit.
